A recent study reveals that leaving dogs can cause distress via separation anxiety.

"They have a different kind of memory. They cannot think back and realise what they did an hour ago is the reason their owner is cross with them," said Mr Bradshaw, the pet expert.

Dogs Killed in Vicious Spade Attack

David Wilson, of the Ulster Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, said: "The person responsible for their deaths butchered them and then hid their bodies".

"There is no reason on this earth why anyone should resort to this kind of brutality", he added. "It's an extreme cruel act."

Funds Raised To Rescue Dogs From War Zone

Two stray dogs in Afghanistan were rescued by U.S. Army soldiers after their wives raised money to bring the dogs to United States.

"The dog just made everyone happier," said Luedeman, wife of a soldier.

"He really was like a cohesive part of the unit. He would tell me that every time OP would see the guys gear up for a patrol he would run outside to make sure they didn't leave him behind."
