Chicago City Hosts Dog Event

Research shows dog owners have proven health benefits, tending to have lower blood pressure and cholesterol say psychologists at Queen's University in Belfast. This month, canines' best friends in Chicago can now show thanks to their pooches at Montrose Harbor for "Dog Day On the Green" on Sunday, August 29th. The free family festival kicks off at 9 AM with The American Cancer Society's Bark For Life and will be followed by educational activities for dog owners and their furry best friends. The event is being held by the City of Chicago Clerk's Office to encourage dog owner's to register their pet with the city and provides information on taking care of their animal.

The event will include a Dog Fashion Show put on by Barker & Meowsky from 11:30 AM at the Main Stage. Barker & Meowsky is a pet boutique located in Chicago which offers exclusive pet products for pets of all sizes for over a decade. Their huge selection includes apparel, collars, carriers and more accessories to pamper both dogs and cats.
