“Dogs do not have actual telepathy,” said Monique Udell, a University of Florida psychology researcher with a doctorate in animal behaviour. “Certainly they are sensitive to reading our body language, and that plays a large role in their success in terms of surviving in our society and living as pets in our homes.” Monique Udell and a group of undergraduates, conducted a series of experiments on both dogs and wolves. Some of them claimed that dogs have developed a distinctive sensitivity to humans through domestication. While Udell and others, concludes that the dog's lifetime experience may contribute to the way they react to people.

Their study tells us that dogs do not have an extrasensory intellectual sense that gives them the natural ability to read the human mind. Rather, they can easily learn and adjust to their environment as well as their experiences with humans.
